As 2019 draws to a close we thought it would be useful to reflect on how the Catipilla story has evolved over the past 24 months and to reveal some of our exciting new plans for 2020.
From our beginnings in 2016, solving a mobility problem for Smudge, our aging family cat, Catipilla has captured the imagination of thousands of people across the World. Our modern, stylish cat shelves and contemporary cat climbing frames are now installed in homes, catteries and vets practices across 14 countries. The stories and pictures we receive from customers every day brighten our lives and inspires us to write the next chapter of our story. A big ‘thank you’ to everyone who has contributed to our journey so far.
Our range expanded throughout the year, particularly with the introduction of our wall mounted cat scratching posts. As with all our products, we took inspiration from customer requests, suggestions and questions to build a product that has clearly proven a big hit with cats and their owners everywhere.
Most recently, we have relocated the business into the picturesque surroundings of the Wye Valley. This was a big upheaval but will allow us to grow and expand the business with minimal disruption to our customers. Our own 3 cats took no time to settle into their new surroundings and are now busy exploring pastures new.
As we move into 2020, our product development plans will continue to be formed by customer feedback. A consistent request that we have is to introduce more color options into our range. At present, our cat hammocks have been the only real product offering color variety but in 2020, we will be bringing a wider choice of colors to the rest of our products. We also plan to simplify the installation of Catipilla products and to streamline their appearance where possible, although the safety and well-being of cats that use them will remain our number one priority.
We also have an exciting new product in the pipeline for spring 2020 that we know our cat community will love and are always exploring new ways that we can help the environment. This involves continuing to make high-quality products that will last a lifetime and using recycled and recyclable materials across products and packaging wherever possible.
We have come a long way with our story in the past 2 years and are excited at the year ahead. Our priority will always be to put cat happiness, health and well-being at the center of everything we do and to build products that fit modern day lifestyles
Thank you for your interest in Catipilla and seasonal wishes for a healthy and happy 2020 for you and your feline friends.
