Well, that was hard. Really, really hard.
Weeks of planning went into our Kickstarter Campaign and we thought that we had all bases covered. The reality turned out to be different to our expectation and we have had to learn quickly over the past three weeks. We would be the first to admit that Kickstarter was far more challenging than we had anticipated, but nevertheless, we were delighted at the response we got and the variety of pledges that we received from all over the world.
We launched our Kickstarter with an expectation that a successful campaign would enable us to move into production. However, the interest that was shown to Catipilla from the outset attracted the attention of external funding sources. As a direct result of this, we are excited to let our community now know that we have secured the funding we need to take us into production, albeit by means that we hadn’t anticipated.
This is a huge step in the right direction and we want to thank everyone who has helped us. Your support was an important ingredient in our discussions, and we simply couldn’t have reached this important milestone without you.
The Catipilla Pro is ready to go to manufacture, and final adjustments are being made to the High Plate as we speak. We will be giving regular updates on our progress via email, so please subscribe if you want to keep up-to-date. With development plans for the Scratcher and Cat Hammock all well under way, as well as a few other ideas, our aim is to have an array of modules available for purchase by the end of the year.
In a previous blog post, we said that we expected Catipilla to be a roller coaster of a ride and the past three weeks have certainly been that. We are excited to be moving forward into the next stage of our journey and we hope that you’ll come along with us.
